VTI June 2026 Dividend: $148.32 Reinvested at $276.40
My Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) position paid out $148.32 in dividends for June 2026. The cash hit my Schwab brokerage account on July 2. I reinvested the same day at $276.40/share — bought 0.5366 fractional shares.
My total VTI position is now 47.82 shares across 14 months of DCA. Average cost basis: $271.18. Current yield on cost: 1.32% (based on trailing 12-month dividends of $3.58/share).
Why I'm tracking this publicly: most dividend blogs show yield on current price. That's fine for income investors buying today. But for DCA accumulators, yield on cost tells you what your actual money is earning based on what you actually paid.
June's payout was slightly lower than May ($152.10) because VTI's quarterly distribution schedule isn't perfectly monthly — June was a lighter month. I expect July to bounce back to ~$150.
No changes to the plan. I'm still buying $400/month of VTI on the 15th, regardless of price. The dividend reinvestment is just a bonus on top.
